How To Survive In A Drinking Session?
My Russian New Year in Italy
Almost All my friends are leaving Russian Italians greet the new year at home in Russia. So it has become a tradition, shared by all the winter holidays of conscience: Catholic Christmas Day - with an Italian native, and New Year's Eve - at home, with parents and friends. Only this time the mountain will not go to Muhammad, Muhammad - in the face of my mother - came to me himself, and even in the midst of transportation and the collapse of the Arctic Moscow airport! And this, I tell you, was our first New Year in a foreign land!
Incidentally, it is worth noted the primacy of the Catholic Christmas over the New Year in Italy. Christmas - this is truly a family Italian holiday, with many relatives, endless feasts and gifts. Just like our New Year! At that time, as the New Year here - it is an occasion to gather with friends, organize a party at home or go dancing.
And here we have this New Year has turned completely Russian: from the tree, dressed old soviet toys and garlands (thanks mom) with the chimes and the speech of the president (thanks to streaming!), with the beloved "Ivan Vasilyevich (thank you friends for the DVD), which for me, the Future 31 December each year, with traditional Olivier (oh, no thanks !)... Later, however, we went for a walk on New Year's AC Milan in the vain hope expressed by her husband "Spend at least half the calories eaten."
And that's what we saw: the city center was packed elderly ladies in mink coats, arm in arm with cavaliers, merry youth, sharing a bottle of champagne from plastic cups, teenagers, intimidating above mentioned ladies, homeless dogs and unexpected explosions of firecrackers, the young Italians and Slav in short skirts who want to ... kh! ... meet ... tourists and numerous representatives of Asian and Arab community in Milan. Police in parade bdila on many street corners.
to the main tree of the city that before the Duomo, we have never reached: we nastrozhila brisk cannonade Amateur fireworks coloring the night sky in all colors of the rainbow, and a crowd of mink coats, obviously trying to take away those same skins away from obkurennyh teenagers with firecrackers.
Trams from the center were filled: people are tired, apparently, drive home - who some sleep, and who continue to feasts ... The result of these festivities the next day we read TV: mangled firecrackers children hospitalized with alcohol poisoning teens - Just like here in Russia! Only here and warm in a fight no one climbs!

I love the Russian (or Soviet cultural) and their ballets. I'm not a huge fan of ballet in general, I honestly do not find it as interesting as the work, but the music ... the music is sublime. I was expecting something trivial to this Lake, it will be because he is famous, because it is the music of the carillon at all times or so, but I did not trust. Instead, I was just kidnapped. Ok, not Sleeping Beauty, but certainly I was much attracted to this dance that the Valkyrie. Direction and choreography were not new, but I have not informed enough to tell them you've seen before. In any case, I liked very much, especially the scenes along the lake. Even the crossing points in the story I was not bored. And then there was the scenery! That huge painting of the lake in the background: just sublime. Was fully the idea of a dream, that in a moment could turn into a nightmare or vanish, but remains a flickering illusion of happiness.
This time I was also convinced of the direction, everything was as I expected and even better. The traditional melody of the lake, I fear that constantly reminds me chimes, I almost felt like a new never heard before.
Only real problem? The public. I understand that we preview young people, perhaps many of these have never been to the staircase, but you can not applaud every scene! You do not come to an end! It stops the orchestra is playing. After the fourth round of applause I had already given up on being able to enjoy the lake as it should. It is not a circus, is a ballet, there are no numbers to perform on stage and be applauded. The ballet is a movement together!
Well at least I got my revenge and personal satisfaction: I took the poster of **_** beautiful room!

When The Valkyrie was announced as a work for the First was also satisfied. Then thinking about it a bit 'more cold the idea of seeing a work of Wagner, the second is more of a cycle m'attirava not so much. I must admit that it is not out of scale in love with this work, far from it. We take the
: Wagner is verbose! It takes them hours to say what you say in other works in 5 minutes, resulting in the Valkyrie takes less than 5 hours, with only two breaks. The acts last respectively 60, 90 and 70 minutes. And there's even a scene change to pull a bit 'breath. Also this is terribly static. There are hours of "now I'll tell you what I think" without anything or anyone another face.
will then be that the Germanic mythology little I understand, and therefore I found the plot between the boring and unbearable (son of Siegmund are the worst I've ever seen god, you're an incompetent and even cowardly), but even the music is able to move me. Except for some parts, the rest m'è passed away without a trace. The Ride I expected a powerful and impressive instead you chose to make it just great. Oh I also understand that having to sing on maybe it was not necessary to give "volume" to the orchestra, especially since they were two hundred (number metaphorically)! Surely there was the beauty of six harps, 10 cellos, 8 double basses, just to mention the tools that I was more surprised by the number. Rents were rents, so that the drum was played virtually the front door of the orchestra pit.
Otherwise the scale has not disappointed me, as always, costumes and set designs I really liked. Much more than the costumes (to Brünnhilde **_**), the set was undoubtedly impact but sometimes the meaning remained obscure. Unfortunately, less than half the first act is missing one of the two projectors, and we did all the work with half the stage-level projections, but nevertheless did not suffer much (except just in the first when the loss is even more noticeable after the start was made with everything working).
To conclude this is the first work in German and I was not satisfied, but I also subscribe to the Magic Flute by Mozart, we will see that. Maybe it also effect language XD
